• Source New Zealand (SNZ) was founded in 1976.In 1993 the company recognized the importance of exporting New Zealand-sourced surplus animals to overseas facilities. During 1995 SNZ opened Animal Source Texas (AST) and supported its development and at the beginning of 1997 Source Prague (SP) was opened in the Czech Republic to work with the zoos in Europe, the former Russian republics and Central Asia.Source Group now operates as a professional multi-national organization, dealing primarily with captive animal facilities such as zoological parks, safari parks, and recreational parks that manage various species of exotic animals. The Group thrives because of a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic group of specialists with expertise in many aspects of wildlife biology, and zoo management.We are focused on the live animal sector of zoo management, including species collection/master plans and animal transport. By our professional approach, we support the status of the keeping of animals in zoos, which it has become popular to denigrate in many countries. We give to our zoo colleagues personal, efficient and professional service, bearing in mind the animal welfare and conservation aspects of keeping and transporting animals. We also have external consultants with extensive zoo experience we can call on when we have projects of special interest.
