- Leadership Delaware, Inc. is a nonprofit leadership foundation established in 2009 for the purpose of identifying, tutoring, and mentoring outstanding young Delawareans who have the capacity, desire, and the courage to seek and excel at community, nonprofit, political, professional, and corporate leadership within the First State. These young leaders, aged 28 to 38, are recruited from throughout Delaware, without regard to gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or political persuasion. Leaders with integrity, vision, knowledge, and the ability to make a positive impact within their communities are desperately needed in Delaware and throughout the United States. In fact, the need for principled leaders has rarely been greater. Our Leadership Delaware program offers a series of issue-oriented forums and experiences, which are based on the belief that knowledge is a key element and prime motivator of leadership. Leadership Delaware Alumni say they are continually impressed and amazed by what the program provided them: - Breadth of knowledge on key issues facing Delaware - Invaluable bonds with one another as fellows - Vast network throughout the state - Polished presentation skills - Self confidence to take their leadership to an even greater level - A family of people passionate about making a difference Leadership Delaware helps fellows collect the dots...so they can connect the dots.
