- KSTF seeks to improve science and mathematics education by building a stable, sustainable cadre of networked leading teachers, who are trained and supported as leaders from the beginning of their careers. The Foundation operates three fully integrated programs that build national capacity for improving science and mathematics teaching: Teaching Fellows, Senior Fellows, and Research & Evaluation. The KSTF Teaching Fellows Program, the Foundations signature program, awards exceptional young men and women with five-year, early-career Fellowships, empowering them to become primary agents of educational improvement. Upon completion of the five-year Fellowship, Teaching Fellows become Senior Fellows. The Senior Fellows Program supports Senior Fellows in a wide range of leadership activities in schools, districts and beyond, as well as within KSTF. The Research & Evaluation Program (R&E) evaluates the Teaching Fellows and Senior Fellows Programs to identify opportunities for improvement.
