• WHO WE ARE:Good people who want to do good work. WHAT WE BELIEVE:Theatre should be based in trust and joy. The way to achieve that is by building a strong ensemble. WHAT WE DO:We do the classics, from the Greeks to Shakespeare to Williams and Inge. Plays that are driven by language and strong characters will be mainstays of our season. ENSEMBLE?We value training. Our ensemble will take ongoing master classes geared to honing technique and developing spontaneity. By creating a safe, challenging playground for our artists, we will develop exciting, muscular, and powerful works of theatre. MISSION STATEMENT:Hedgepig Ensemble will serve as an artistic home and training ground for an ensemble of diverse and passionate artists dedicated to excellent work as performers, educators, and community builders. Through continued artist training, Hedgepigs approach values clarity, spontaneity and relationship. Hedgepig will strive to give women a meaningful voice in classic theater by offering leadership roles, choosing plays that feature women, and examining the work of lesser known female classical playwrights. EDUCATIONHedgepig Arts in Education (HAE) programs will champion innovation and excellence into the classroom. By celebrating diversity, encouraging the individual voice of each student and inspiring personal excellence, HAE believes in igniting the potential of every student.
