• Rock to the Future is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2010 that provides music education to Philadelphias underserved youth at no cost to them or their families. Using music, our programs ignite passion and creativity, support academic achievement, and improve self-esteem. We empower individuals and strengthen communities. Rock to the Future offers innovative programming that is focused on contemporary rock instruments and music to keep students excited and committed to life-long learning. Students learn guitars, drums, piano, or bass guitar, learn music theory, and write their own original music. We currently offer three program areas: MusiCore after school, MobileMusic (in-school and partner locations), and summer camps. Students in our programs have a history of improving academic performance, mental health, social skills, and musical ability. History:Jessica Craft left her job as a performance analyst at a local investment firm to start Rock to the Future in 2010 with seed money from Women for Social Innovation. Since 2010, the organization has grown from serving 13 youth to hundreds of in 3 programs and has been featured in The New York Times and on NBC, KYC, Good Day Philadelphia, and iHeartMedia (plus dozens of others!). All programs are 100% free for under served Philadelphia youth.
