• RP Sports began as RecoveryPump in 2011 after decades helping to improve the quality of life for over 50,000 patients through pneumatic compression pump therapy. Further research revealed that this same technology that helped those suffering from arterial and venous disease, lymphedema and other circulatory problems like diabetes could prove equally beneficial to athletes. Scientific evidence abounded in support of the use of sequential compression to expedite recovery, but our team became excited by the prospect of sharing these benefits firsthand with the athletic community. The evolution from RecoveryPump to RP Sports in 2016 was a natural progression based on close working relationships with leading Athletic Trainers and Strength and Conditioning Coaches. For the challenges elite athletes faced to stay healthy, rehab effectively and train efficiently, we sought answers. This desire to serve our clients better led to the addition of blood flow modification therapy (KAATSU), whole body cryotherapy (CryoAir), the portable RecoveryTub and the Athlete Monitoring software tool. Our commitment to innovation and our constant endeavor to be responsive to our clients needs will chart the course for future product offerings, but the RP Sports team is building on the foundation of integrity and excellence for which RecoveryPump is known.
