• Established in 1988, the Kentucky Lottery was the first lottery in the United States to be implemented as a corporation. Since our first day of ticket sales, weve earned Kentuckys state treasury more than $4.6 billion by offering countless exciting games and prizes to our players, all while never losing sight of our main concern for our public to play responsibly. The Kentucky Lottery Corporations mission is to generate state revenue while supporting Kentucky youths pursuit of knowledge. As a major contributor of funding for public education, we have provided our best and brightest with more than $2.8 billion in grants and scholarships, making one out of every seven Kentuckians a recipient of our educational assistance funding.The majority of every ticket sale 60% goes directly back to players like you in the form of cash prizes, incentives and rewards, while the second largest portion of revenue generated 27% is invested back into our state.
