- Sexual Violence Center (SVC) supports youth and adult victim/survivors of sexual violence 12 years of age and older. We have offices in Minneapolis and Chaska, and work in Hennepin, Carver and Scott counties in the State of Minnesota. SVC offers a range of free services to support victims and survivors through the crisis and trauma caused by sexual violence, including: -24-hour crisis support telephone line: staffed by trained advocates -Individual, in-person counseling: intensive, directed support to victims & survivors -Support groups: for victims & survivors, as well as their friends & family -Crisis support in hospitals: to provide support though forensic exams (evidence collection for the rape kit) -Legal advocacy: to advocate for resources needed to file restraining orders, navigate the criminal justice system and get connected to legal representation -Community education: breaking the silence surrounding sexual violence If sexual violence has impacted your life, the Sexual Violence Center is here to support you.
