- Quantum Materials Corp (QMC) is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of high-performance nanomaterials. QMC primarily focuses on luminescent semiconductor nanocrystals known as quantum dots and other nanoparticles for the electronics, display, lighting, and photovoltaic industries. The Company has developed an industry-first continuous-flow manufacturing processes which unlike traditional batch processing delivers highly uniform products and is quickly and easily scalable. QMC has two metric tons of production capacity, the largest of any manufacturer of cadmium-free quantum dots. QDX Quantum Dots are the latest nanotech breakthrough from Quantum Materials. Designed to withstand high heat, oxidation, and moisture without degrading, QDX surmount implementation constraints due to lack of environmental stability. For example, QDX will enable QD use in displays without expensive barrier films for encapsulation. In QD-LED lighting, QDX will eventually enable on-chip application increasing energy efficiency,reducing the need for bulky, expensive heat sinks for the solid-state lighting market QDX will also lead the way in developing extremely low cost next-gen roll-to-roll printed QD solar cells. QMC's volume manufacturing methods enable consistent quality and scalable cost reductions to drive innovative discovery to commercial success. Wholly-owned subsidiary Solterra Renewable Technologies develops sustainable quantum dot solar technology. QMC produces both cadmium-based and RoHS compliant cadmium-free qd.
