Additionally, ACT for Congo will educate North America about the challenges and opportunities of partnership, with a focus on innovative and integrated programs that cultivate community, empower women, and foster health.ACT for Congo's first and founding partner is HOLD-DRC, based in Kindu, Maniema and Goma, North Kivu. Grants have been provided to support empowerment of teen and unwed mothers through an integrated approach to skills training and general learning-- from literacy to governance to prevention of the most basic diseases common to their children. Experience, trust, research, monitoring and evaluation are key to partnership development.
