Challenge America

Description

• Challenge America answers the question of When it happens, where do we go? for returning military and their families. By working with communities across the United States to link new and existing services, and by supporting the development of recreational, occupational and housing programs, Challenge America is better able to serve those individuals in their home communities.Returning warriors and military families are inundated with information from both the public and private sectors. Bridging between the two sectors and providing a user-friendly tool to access and retrieve relevant and pertinent information information that is truly important to the user is the key to serving the needs of the warrior population effectively. This will be accomplished by:Making information about quality-of-life programs readily accessible via a standardized database searchable by zip code on an easily navigable website Expanding the geographic reach of existing quality-of-life initiatives.Facilitating conferences, seminars, and publications with a focus on best practices and making relevant and cutting-edge information available to those who need it.Challenging the American public to help connect military, veterans and their families to opportunities across the country and in their own backyards.
