Whether you are new to the idea of acupuncture, or a long-term client, we strive to help bring balance into all facets of your body, life, and mind. Acupuncture has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM theory states that your body, like everything else in nature, is able to function at its best when in a state of balance. Many things in life can push your body toward imbalance: trauma, poor sleep, eating the wrong foods and so on. This imbalance can cause you to feel sick or experience pain. Acupuncture works by helping the body move back toward a balanced state. Small needles are gently placed at certain points throughout the body; these needles act as flagpoles, alerting your body-mind to where imbalances are so it can begin to heal itself. Regardless of whether you are suffering from a short-term illness or a chronic health problem, acupuncture can not only help you to feel better, but can also help prevent future issues.
