• Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We serve the Fauquier and Rappahannock County communities. We are working in partnership with community churches, businesses, volunteers and families to build and sell safe and affordable homes to families in need. Since 1991, your donations have enabled us to build 51 homes and rehabilitated several others. Together, we are changing lives. Habitat is a hand-up not a handout. We sell the homes we build to families at cost with no-interest mortgages to keep the monthly payments affordable. Those mortgage payments go back into a revolving fund, enabling Fauquier Habitat to build more homes. Our dedicated volunteers contribute their labor to reduce the cost to build, national sponsors and local businesses provide generous support and our partner families invest hundreds of hours of labor known as sweat equity into building their homes and the homes of others. Our ReStore (located at 617 Frost Avenue in Warrenton) sell products that have been donated by the community, local businesses and contractors including new and used appliances, building materials, furniture, tools and more. Its proceeds help fund home builds.
