• New Life Village (NLV) is an intergenerational community where couples who have or are willing to adopt the hardest to place kids out of foster care (children age 8 and older/sibling groups) are provided affordable housing and the professional support they need to successfully raise these traumatized children, along with seniors who are also provided affordable housing in exchange for program volunteerism and acting as the childrens surrogate grandparents. In addition to the support these families will receive from the seniors and staff, they will also find support in each other, creating a true community of caring. It Takes a Village to Raise a Childand this is that village.NLV is modeled on, and officially authenticated by, the highly successful Generations of Hope program in Champaign, IL, hailed by a number of highly reputable entities, from the Kaiser Foundation to the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, as a most innovative approach to ending the dilemma of finding adoptive families for children languishing in foster care.NLV is situated in the newly acquired CityView Townhome property in Palm River FL, just south of Ybor City, near Tampa.
