In plastics, Oshenites unique crystalline structure allows the reduction of plastic resin usage by up to 50%. Adding Oshenite® provides down gauging options while enhancing the physical and performance characteristics of your product. Oshenite® is oolitic aragonite which precipitates continually as ultra 97-99% pure calcium carbonate in the shoals of the Bahama Bank and not near coral reefs. The harvesting rights area naturally produces approximately 2 million tons each year in addition to the over 1 billion tons currently in reserve. Far less is harvested than processed. As an environmentally responsible company, U.S.Aragonite is committed to researching and reporting on Oshenite's natural renewable cycle of production in the Bahama ocean waters.
