• The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame is on the brink of realizing its fondest dreams with the construction of the spectacular Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum under construction on historic Front Street in downtown Natchitoches, Louisianas oldest settlement. The museum scheduled to open in late 2012 will honor Louisianas sports legends to include athletes, coaches, administrators and sportswriters. Media rich exhibit designs will provide access to thousands of statistics and images of Louisianas greatest sports moments and athletes. Each year, eight new inductees are recognized at one of the nations best attended Induction Ceremonies held the third weekend in June each summer in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
