Get Full AccessDescription
- Creating life-sustaining products for developing countries. Design Outreach (DO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that appropriately designs everyday products for the many challenges people in developing countries face. DO solves big-impact problems to empower impoverished people to help break the poverty cycle. Products are developed to provide basic needs such as food, water, and shelter as well as micro-enterprise opportunities. DO is currently working in Africa and is expanding to others areas around the world. DO partners with professional volunteers from a variety of technical and non-technical staff in businesses and universities to develop and test their designs. This enables the development, manufacturing and commercialization of products for government organizations, non-governmental organizations, missionaries, and corporations. DO relies on the financial support of donors who want to see their dollars stretch and make a real lasting impact. Visit the website for more information on how to become involved. DO is currently working to attain tax-exempt status in the USA, but donations are tax-exempt with fiscal sponsor Integrated Community Development International.
