Sense Education

Description

• Sense allows scalable and personalized education to go hand in hand. It makes open-ended assignments a scalable alternative to multiple choice questions for Computer Science and other STEM courses with high enrollment. Sense is a hybrid human-machine intelligence solution that helps educators evaluate and provide feedback on open-ended assignments more efficiently, as well as provide students with adaptive learning experiences, by using artificial intelligence. Sense does so in two steps. First, algorithms detect patterns from students submissions and break answers down into the natural five 5 to 10-solution types (or clusters) they usually break into. Second, the user, the educator, evaluates and provides feedback to each solution type, rather than to each individual submission. There are two primary groups of potential clients: (1) colleges, universities, online courses and professional training providers, and (2) students outside of partner institutions, who will use pre-loaded 'responsive assignments' to receive immediate feedback on their work. Sense is the first product in the market that allows for the proper use of open-ended assignments in large scale courses by contributing to the massification and the personification of education simultaneously. It also increases the quality and detail in personalized feedback and offers adaptive learning experiences, which are imperative in the process of learning. By combining advanced Artificial Intelligence with deep learning technologies, Sense bridges scaling education with personalizing education. More remarkably, Sense accomplishes that by drastically reducing grading time, providing greater accuracy in grading, and more personalized feedback to students.
