Sanctuary Healing Arts offers birth and postpartum doula care, massage therapy, as well as classes and talks to share and spread hands-on healing arts wisdom. Each of our doulas are trained professionals committed to exceptional care and support during all stages of mamahood. Since 1992, Sanctuary Healing Arts has served hundreds of women & their wee ones with a continuum of care than spans life's most significant momentswomens menarche, pregnancy, labor & birth, motherhood to menopause, and lil' ones coming into the world with lovin' care. Michele Kolakowski, the owner of Sanctuary Healing Arts LLC, is a DONA International Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Colorado Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Instructor of Infant Massage with Infant Massage-USA. In addition to her services for women and wee ones in Boulder County, Colorado and surrounding communities, Michele has taught maternity massage therapy at schools, hospitals and spas nationwide. She has also been actively involved in the development and instruction of maternity massage therapy core curriculum and continuing education courses for BCMT and Cortiva Education. Michele is the former Program Supervisor for Longmont United Hospital's Health Center of Integrative Therapies - a successful community hospital Integrative Medicine program with an innovative BirthPlace Massage Therapy Program that has provided thousands of inpatient maternity massages to new mothers since 1998. She is passionate about improving maternity care with interdisciplinary teamwork and presents to midwifery and obstetrician groups about how to integrate more patient-centered care practices into our healthcare for childbearing women and their babies.
