- Tulane Emergency Medical Services is a student run volunteer ambulance service based on the Uptown campus of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The organization is entirely run and maintained by undergraduate and graduate students from Tulane University. The only paid person associated with the organization is Dr. James Farrow, the Medical Director and Director of Tulane's Student Health Center. Tulane EMS provides full service emergency medical services to the staff, visitors, and affiliates of Tulane University located throughout New Orleans. Additionally, Tulane EMS services neighboring Loyola University with the same services. Additionally, Tulane EMS offers emergency medical technicians for event standbys, community health fairs, school education curriculums, and CPR classes. With the exception of CPR classes which are offered at reduced rates, all services are free of charge. Since its founding over 25 years ago, Tulane EMS' primary mission has always been service to the Tulane and New Orleans community.
