- Emanate Wireless builds solutions that continuously monitor the operation and productivity of key clinical assets at healthcare facilities. The management of clinical assets that are constantly moving and/or in use can be chaotic. Optimizing this process is key to enhancing productivity and reducing staff stress. Emanate attaches their intelligent, cloud-connected sensors to critical assets. Analytics then transform the raw data from these sensors into contextual information and actionable insights. Mobile and web apps keep Nurses, Clinical Engineers, and Admin staff continuously informed. Emanate has created a unique sensor that monitors the AC power draw and temperature of refrigerators. Real-time analytics software processes the AC power data, and generates alerts for the most common problems before they cause a temperature excursion: a door left open, a laboring compressor, or an AC outage. These early alerts enable corrective action before inventory is lost, which can save hundreds of thousands of dollars, or eliminate loss of critical medical samples. Emanate has also created an innovative sensor that monitors the AC power draw and location of plug-in medical assets such as pumps, monitors, and specialty beds. Real-time analytics software processes the AC power data, and transforms the data into key contextual information: Device In-Use vs. Idle. This Usage State information then feeds data-driven analysis of optimal inventory levels How much equipment do we really need, and where? It can also be used to discover under-utilized assets, and for lifecycle decisions: refurbish vs. replace.
