• Northcountry Cooperative Foundation (NCF) helps transform lives and communities through cooperative enterprise.NCF staff and consultants support manufactured housing community residents in their efforts to purchase their communities and convert them to resident ownership. NCF is one of eight nonprofit organizations doing this work around the country through the ROC USA Network. Its staff and consultants provide technical assistance, multifamily real estate development, and organizational development support to resident groups seeking to achieve their goals of economic independence, autonomy, greater respect, and wealth building.In pursuing its community development mission, NCF has created several unique products and programs. NCF has attracted $1.3 million in financing for manufactured home placement throughout Minnesota, and provided 70 high-quality manufactured homes for low-income households. NCF helped broker a partnership between ROC USA Capital and Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority for financing Minnesota and Wisconsin cooperative transactions. NCF is pursuing additional projects in Minnesota and Wisconsin and exploring prospects in Iowa.NCF is a small, innovative, nonprofit social enterprise delivering transformative results for low- and moderate-income manufactured housing residents of the Upper Midwest.
