• Welcome Warehouse unites a community that cares and neighbors who share. Welcome Warehouse provides support to Dublin City and School District residents who are temporarily in need because of job loss, underemployment, health crises, or other challenges. We work closely with Dublin City Schools, local churches and social service organizations that refer families to us for assistance. We help meet basic needs so families can thrive. Our goal is to offer friendship, spiritual support and hope to all who come through our doors. The need is real: In the United States there are now more people living in poverty in the suburbs than in urban areas. In the suburban Dublin City School District, 17% of students (about 2,500 kids) are considered to be economically disadvantaged, and nearly 5,000 households live on less than $35,000 annually. We currently offer several programs to serve the community: Welcome Warehouse Free Shop: The Free Shop provides clothing, shoes, household goods, and personal care items to families in need. Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program: This program matches local families experiencing a financial or medical crisis with sponsors from the community seeking to experience the joy of giving. Children receive gifts and families receive a grocery gift card for a holiday meal. Back-to-School Outreach: This outreach provides new school supplies, backpacks and clothing to Dublin school children so they can start the school year prepared for success. This fun family event features games, prizes, face painting, and refreshments. Emergency Household Assistance: The Emergency Household Assistance fund helps Dublin families facing a financial crisis for utilities, medical expenses, or other basic necessities. Bed Donation Program: We provide new twin mattress sets for children who may otherwise be sleeping on couches and floors.
