- Acme Cryogenics is a leading designer, manufacturer, and provider of precision-engineered products and field services for the production, distribution, and storage of cryogenic (extremely low temperature) liquids and industrial gases. Acme provides an extensive suite of products and services for customers across the entire industrial gas supply and distribution chain, in attractive end markets such as food packaging, pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, aerospace, medical gas and industrial gas industries. The company holds number one or two positions within its products niches, and has longstanding customer relationships due to its strong reputation and leading technical capabilities for customized systems and solutions as well as superior product quality. Acme Cryogenics, based in Allentown, PA, was acquired by Graham Partners in 2016, a private investment firm focused on investing in businesses with advanced manufacturing technologies, innovative product development capabilities, and strong growth potential. Graham Partners has identified several opportunities for value creation during its ownership of Acme, including pursuing strategic add-on acquisitions to expand into adjacent markets, implementing operational improvements, and new product development. Acme has completed two add-on mergers in recent years to expand its geographic footprint within the US: Midwest Cryogenics and Northeast Services.Established in 1969, Acme Cryogenics was a started as a general machine shop providing machining services manufacturing cryogenic liquid transfer fittings. Today, Acme continues to strive to be the leading gas and fluid control expert while maintaining the highest regard for safety and environmental responsibility. There are currently three manufacturing operations: Allentown, PA; Atlanta, GA; and Lonsdale, MN and seven Field Service locations: Allentown, PA; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Lonsdale, MN; South Plainfield, NJ; and Port St. Lucie, FL.
