- Reel Lives is a youth media organization working with marginalized, refugee and conflict-affected youth. The goal of Reel Lives is to support students to have their own, authentic voices be heard, improve their livelihoods, recover from trauma, and to create professional grade documentaries centered on their own stories that can be used to educate and advocate around human rights issues.Creating Community LeadersReel Lives is about more than filmmaking. Graduates also leave our program with a sense of empowerment, with the confidence and skills to go into their communities and enact real change.Reel Lives also works with the local media industry and larger economic community to create employment opportunities for our participants and place them in internships, building the road to improved livelihoods.
