- Midwives Cathy Gallagher and Susan Schmidt are now providing homebirth services in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties, NY, as well as parts of CT and Northern NJ. In addition to homebirth, Cathy and Susan provide well-woman GYN care, first GYN visits for teenagers, family planning and contraceptive care, and care for women through their menopausal years. Our office is located in Croton on Hudson, NY.It is essential that pregnant women and their partners feel comfortable with the midwives taking care of them. Cathy and Susan meet with all pregnant couples to ensure that they are all the right fit. This visit takes place in our office or a place of mutual convenience and usually lasts an hour or so. Well discuss homebirth in general, answering all your questions including the appropriateness of homebirth for you and well spend some time getting to know one another.
