As one of the largest California school districts, we serve more than 45,000 preschool, K-12 and adult learners in the communities of Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Gold River, Carmichael and Arden-Arcade in eastern Sacramento County. Our success is built upon strong community engagement and support coupled with a collaborative work environment that values having the time and resources needed to develop instructional practices and operational improvements together. As an organization and a community we have called out a focus on improving equity and access to educational opportunities for all learners. We are working to give all staff the skills needed in culturally responsive practices to meet the needs of a rapidly diversifying student and parent population.
