• Global Healing touches the lives of over 50 million people by strengthening healthcare systems, improving quality of care and fostering transnational relationships between medical professionals worldwide. We have directly implemented both institutional and national scale programs in eight countries across multiple medical disciplines.We are a leading nonprofit organization fostering the development of quality health systems in resource-constrained parts of the world. We are driven by the belief that no one should suffer for lack of reasonable and sustainable medical solutions. Good healthcare is essential to every aspect of daily life and integral to the prosperity of the global community, yet billions wake up every morning without access to a medical system capable of healing and curing them simply because of where they live. We facilitate sustainable programs that directly address these gaps in care, empowering local healthcare professionals to better care for their own. Global Healing was established in 1994 initially to train and equip a team of pediatric cardiology surgeons in Tbilisi, Georgia, to perform the nations first pediatric open-heart surgeries. Our organization has since started medical programs in Armenia, Haiti, Honduras, Dominica, Moldova, Nepal and the Ukraine. We are based out of Berkeley, Calif.
