• Our Mission: DuPage Homeownership Center dba H.O.M.E. DuPage (H.O.M.E.) is a nonprofit organization that provides a full range of services to promote responsible sustainable homeownership, with an emphasis on serving first-time homebuyers, low- and moderate-income households and homeowners in crisis. For almost a quarter century, H.O.M.E. DuPage has been serving the needs of DuPage County. In 1991 H.O.M.E. was created to Promote and Preserve Homeownership for low- and moderate- income clients in DuPage. By providing pre and post-home purchase education and individual counseling, H.O.M.E. has helped many achieve their dream of home ownership. In 2008, when the recession and foreclosure crisis hit, H.O.M.E. enhanced it services to aid those facing the loss of their home. Offering both group and individual foreclosure counseling and the Illinois Hardest Hit relief program, H.O.M.E. has helped home owners avoid foreclosure and get back on track. In 2014 H.O.M.E. continued to adapt to community needs by creating an all new financial capabilities program. The Financial Fitness Program offers 6 diverse educational workshops designed to demystify the financial services options available today, as well as, provide the one-on-one coaching necessary to encourage behavioral changes required for life long client success. H.O.M.E. remains a faithful servant of the people of DuPage County and looks forward to helping them create a better and brighter future.
