• The rapid advancement of genomics and precision medicine, the commercial incentives for orphan/rare diseases, and the recent explosion of combination Immuno-Oncology clinical trials has fundamentally altered the strategic underpinnings of the pharmaceutical industry. New therapeutic modalities such as gene/cellular therapy are further increasing the biological complexity of clinical trial design protocols and commercial decision-making workflows. This calls for bridging the siloed operations of R&D, clinical, and commercial strategy. However, the diverse knowledge-bases, predominantly constituted by unstructured data, deployed across the various functional areas of the organization makes it challenging to obtain a holistic view. Current knowledge curation processes, reliant mostly on subject matter experts, is non-scalable. To address these challenges, nference is developing a large-scale Predictive Analytics platform that integrates three distinct technologies: A Semantic Bio-Knowledge Graph using state-of-the-art Neural Networks (shallow and deep learning models) for real-time, automated extraction of knowledge from the commercial, scientific, and regulatory body of literature; Molecular Analytics for deducing mechanistic insights into drug action, disease progression, and patient constitution; and Statistical Inference for triangulation across disparate data sources. The Platform enables a diverse set of applications ranging from R&D to commercial operations of Life Sciences ecosystem, and strategic decision support for Life Sciences investors.
