We started as a blog in the summer of 2008 with the primary intention of detailing the experience and uniting the various subcultures of the African Diaspora. With a global perspective and local insight, we have had a particular focus on the communities within the metropolitan areas of the United States and Africa. Based in Washington, D.C., over the years, YEBies has developed into a multi-faceted movement striving to connect, apprise, impact, and galvanize these dynamic subcultures through our blog, programs, and events. As we continue to grow as a social enterprise, we are developing specific partnerships that will have a lasting affect and influence on positive changes. It is our goal to establish partnerships in various industries with several diaspora based companies to produce collaborate goods, events, and programs.
