- Educating America's Sportsmen since 1984Stoney-Wolf Productions was founded in 1984 by Stoney Burke and Ed Wolf. They created Elk Hunting in the Rocky Mountain West, the first commercially produced elk hunting video as their first production. Since then the company has produced over 125 hunting, fishing and nature videos. Most of these have featured well known outdoor personalities such as Jim Zumbo, Mike Lapinski and Wayne Carlton, to name a few.In April 1997, the company was sold to David Franey and Tony and Patrick Kirsch. Stoney-Wolf then expanded its product line to include books and outdoor CDs. The company soon had the largest selection of hunting and fishing programs in the industry.The company promotes business through its sales force; through the StoneyWolf.com retail Internet site and by hosting vendors' booths at more than a half dozen outdoors industry trade shows each year.
