• Fit & Able is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that builds healthier communities one athlete at a time through organizing creative events, programs, and activities. Our main sports for our events and training teams are swimming, cycling, and running. These include track and field, cross country, road races, triathlon, and other multisport events. We work with athletes of all ages, skill levels, and abilities. But our expertise is training and encouraging youth, novice, and nontraditional athletes. Fit & Ables mission is to promote a health, fitness, and wellness in Cary and surrounding communities. We believe these things are the bedrock to a high quality of life. We pursue our mission through a variety of activities. These activities include athletic events, training teams, sports clinics, blog articles podcasts, ebooks, and more. With everything we do we encourage athletes of all ages, skill levels, and abilities to participate and do their best! Fit & Ables events, teams, and programs are open to the general public children, adults, seniors, families, and sometimes even pets. We also sponsor kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County to participate and learn the basics of healthy, active lifestyles. Some of our most notable events include: - Hot Chocolate Run & SPCA Doggie Dash Runner Up Best Trail Run - AlzNC Triangle Run to Remember 5k Best Endurance Charity Event - Plunge Pedal Plod Triathlon Best Sprint Triathlon & Best Kids Triathlon - Amberly Race for Our Heroes 5k Runner Up Best Endurance Charity Event In addition to staging our own events, we also offer our race management expertise to other nonprofits and companies.
