• Back in 56, Eisenhower was in the White House, Elvis and Chuck Berry were on the radio, and American Tire Company had just opened its doors in Murfreesboro, TN. In those early days, American Tire Company was a full home and auto store, with TVs, appliances and other items along with tires and auto repair. Four years later, partner H.B Willis joined the company alongside original owner Carlisle Jennings; by 1970, Willis had bought the company. Fast-forward to 1986, and American Tire Company opened their second store; today, they can boast of five stores in Nashville, Goodlettsville, Murfreesboro and Springfield, TN. The TVs and appliances may be long gone, but American Tire Company is still a go-to source for drivers in the greater Nashville area when they need tires and comprehensive auto repair.
