• The Riverside Fine Arts Association (RFAA) was created in 1993 as an outreach ministry of The Church of the Good Shepherd in the Riverside section of Jacksonville, Florida. Its founding was coincident with the church's restoration of its E.M. Skinner organ. The Good Shepherd Concert Series, as it was first called, offered a unique opportunity for cultural enrichment to the Riverside community and beyond. The sanctuary of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at Park & Stockton Streets serves as the home venue for The Riverside Fine Arts Series. This unique venue is well suited to Riverside Fine Arts presentation of a wide array of performing groups that fall loosely under the category of chamber music.Since its inception, RFAA has grown from a small, neighborhood concert series to a non-sectarian organization that serves the area encompassed by northeast Florida. From Cello octets to Brazilian jazz duos, Riverside Fine Arts presents music heard nowhere else in Jacksonville, in a venue that is unparalleled in beauty and history.To enhance its musical offerings at each concert, RFAA turns its Craig Hall reception area into a rotating art gallery to be enjoyed by concertgoers before, during intermission and at post-concert receptions. Exhibits consist of works by Jacksonville-based artists in various media, often chosen to reflect themes in the music when possible. Complimentary receptions are offered pre-and post concert to enjoy the art and meet the musicians
