As part of the Investment Properties division, the Commercial Department thrived under Owner and former Group President Brad Gable. With some recent leadership changes the 2017 Year is already off to the races under the guidance of now Group President Walt Sheen, Vice President of Commercial Operations Cindy Warfield and Vice President of Commercial Leasing Ty Hausch. Our commercial projects include a 10-property portfolio of superior retail and office centers located in first-choice locations across Northern Virginia, particularly in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. Furthermore, we have a presence in revitalized urban areas in D.C. as well as in premier planned communities such as Broadlands and Stone Ridge. In addition to owning and operating the majority of our properties, Van Metre Commercial also provides third-party management services. As a tight-knit office we maintain a powerful and efficient, yet, down-to-earth approach to the needs of our Tenants while offering the many opportunities and resources of a larger company. Indicative of the Van Metre doctrine, we also offer tenants unique marketing and outreach opportunities by employing social media networking and by hosting cross-marketing and educational events with local and national partners. On the forefront of Van Metres company ideals has always been giving back to our communities and upholding philanthropy efforts. This can be seen through the many events created or sponsored by Van Metre: i.e. the Van Metre Cup for Hospice, and the Van Metre 5-Mile Runn for Children's National Medical Center.
