• LOVE FOR KIDS, INC., a 501(c) (3) Charity (LFK) established in 1975 by Bill Barrett, local businessman and philanthropist, and Alan Powdermaker, CEO of Circle R Ranch. Love for Kids mission is to enrich the quality of life for children within the Dallas Community by giving them a chance to realize their potential.This is primarily accomplished by our events. The Annual Children's Holiday Event is an annual for children ages 6-12 years. The event gives children and parents the opportunity to interactively experience and learn about bicycle and helmet safety, drug prevention, obesity, health education and other topics. This event is an EDUCATIONAL event.All Kids Count is an opportunity for parents to learn about programs that exist specifically for special needs and chronically ill children. Partnering programs offer quality educational services that support the special demographic and their family needs. This event is a RESOURCE event.Love for Kids event for the young-at-heart is the Spring Fling senior citizens event. The seniors experience music, fellowship, lunch and obtain needed information such as caregiver resources, education and jobs for seniors and in-home help and nursing home information just to name a few. This event is an OUTREACH event.
