    Description

    • The Center for Juvenile Justice will provide free legal services to indigent youth charged with crimes and status offenses in the delinquency and criminal courts; will educate and train law students in the area of juvenile defense utilizing an experiential approach to include lectures and practical exercises as well as handling of cases under supervision of experienced attorneys under the Student Practice Act; educate the legal community through seminars and workshops for continuing legal education aimed at improving the overall quality of legal representation of children in the system; aim to increase public awareness of juvenile delinquency and alternatives to incarceration through networking with schools, social welfare agencies, probation offices, law enforcement, and the courts as well as advocate for youth in the classroom, the courtroom and the community.
