• We are a 87-bed, staff-secured, residential treatment facility for at-risk juvenile boys. We are located in the beautiful Mohican State Forest, in Perrysville, Ohio (Ashland County). Licensed through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, we offer individual and group therapy, as well as education, independent living skills, community involvement, civic/community service, campus responsibilities, voluntary religious services and many extracurricular activities, all designed to help youth adopt pro-social attitudes, values and behaviors, normalizing them so that reunification or positive placement is possible. Juvenile counselors, juvenile treatment officers, case coordinators and therapists work together to help each youth find hope and healing in a strict, structured treatment environment. Treatment team members learn each youth's Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) goals and ensures that in all activities- work or play - treatment is at the forefront. We call it 24/7 treatment!. Positive Peer Culture is used extensively to teach youth care and compassion - both how to ask for it and give it. The result is a winning program with many positive outcomes. Peers who complete their treatment are honored with a special graduation ceremony. Graduates are invited back to events to reconnect with past peers and their treatment team and to share their inspirational stories with current peers.
