• NCACPA has grown tremendously since its inception in 1919, from 20 founding members to approximately 14,000 today. For the past 95 years, our objective has been providing superior member service. With strategic guidance from the board of directors, committees, and chapters, we have been successful in serving North Carolinas CPAs. Our leaders and staff are dedicated to monitoring changes within the profession and providing quality resources to members. NCACPA membership encompasses 30+ committees, local areas, task forces, and advisory groups regularly interact with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, and other regulators who shape state and national accounting standards. Our greatest service is providing comprehensive curriculum of continuing professional education. We offer more than 500 events annually, including the introduction of webcasts and On Demand CPE. With the multitude of offerings across the state, we aid members in satisfying North Carolinas mandatory 40-hour CPE requirement and maintaining professional excellence.In addition to committees and CPE, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for CPAs to better serve their profession and communities. Through the NC CPA Foundation Inc., we provide numerous scholarships and other monetary contributions to aid current and future accounting professionals in North Carolina.
