• The victim of domestic child sex trafficking between the ages of 11 and 13, Kimberly is a survivor turned advocate. She speaks and writes about her personal experiences and efforts to assist current victims of trafficking, as well as victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and child abuse. An experienced real estate professional, Kimberly realized the signs of human trafficking can easily be detected by realtors, inspectors, appraisers, surveyors, title agents, etc. if they knew what to look for. Through her new non-profit, Restoration Initiative, Kimberly is working to establish New Horizons, a trauma-informed recovery home for American children rescued out of sex trafficking. The home will serve children between 12 and 20 years old, offer survivor designed programming, private education, therapy (including individual, group, art, music, and equine), plus life skills and job training, including real estate licensing. Having recently completed her Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law/ Public Policy, she is now working towards her Master's degree before becoming a real estate attorney and earning her Ph.D. in Criminology.
