Description

• .GDC Industries is a developer of the newest innovation of metal carbon alloys called Covetics. Traditionally metals do not bind well with carbon. The ability to permanently exploit the advantages of carbon (increased strength and conductivity) has eluded the metal industry for centuries. Using a unique process, GDC Industries is able to irreversibly bind carbon to metal enabling the enhancement of a host a properties, even upon recycling. Here are just a few of the astonishing enhancements of Covetics over its parent metal or alloy: Pure metals and alloys are convertible to the new covetic form. Increased drawing and extrusion processing speeds with reduced pressures. Electrical conductor: 2-8 time increase in conductivity compared to other alloys of copper. High Strength conductor: 9% increase in conductivity and 12% in tensile strength compare to other high strength conductors. Uninsulated coils in a winding do not short circuit, yet Electromagnetic properties are preserved. 50% increase in thermal conductivity compared to copper. Conductivity doesnt decrease with increasing temperature. Tensile strength increases without the need for heat treatment. As-cast has unprecedented corrosion resistance compare to the parent metal form and its alloys. Even upon re-melt, recycling, the carbon to metal bond remains.
