    • As the only Kansas City, Mo based and focused, mission-driven (501c4) Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we endeavor to reduce economic disparities in our hometown by providing alternative capital through a wide range of financial products that support high impact, small business investments in low- to moderate-income (LMI) communities not adequately served by traditional financial institutions. Whether it is through the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) Program, targeted loan funds, or any of the other alternative capital sources we offer, AltCap is committed to delivering critical financing to support job creating small business investments and catalytic real estate development projects in our service area. In addition to providing alternative capital, AltCap supports investment in LMI communities through economic empowerment by providing business development and entrepreneurship training which includes Workshop In Business Opportunities (WIBO) - a nationally renowned 16-week peer-to-peer entrepreneurship and business training program.
