- GFDA is a regional public/private economic development non-profit. Our mission is to grow and diversify the Great falls regional economy and support the creation of high wage jobs. We achieve this by helping existing businesses to grow, supporting entrepreneurs to start new companies, and by attracting new business investment to the region. GFDA includes the City of Great Falls, Cascade County, the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Great Falls Public Schools, Great Falls College MSU, the Great Falls International Airport Authority, Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa and over 200 of the leading businesses in the Great Falls region. Originally incorporated in 1992 as High Plains Development and Port Authority, the organization was renamed Great Falls Development Authority (GFDA) in 2002.
