- Based in the culturally dynamic neighborhood of Staten Islands North Shore, the not-for-profit Harbor Lights Theater Company is committed to illuminating the human experience by bringing to the community accessible, relevant, and thought-provoking professional theatrical productions and educational programs. While still a young company, Harbor Lights has already created a new, vibrant home for New York Citys tremendous talent pool.Since founding HLTC in 2010, Broadway veterans and Harbor Lights Founding Artistic Directors Tamara Jenkins and Jay Montgomery, and Founding Producer Beth Gittleman, have begun putting their substantial contacts and relationships to work building a bridge from Broadway to Staten Island, bringing the nations best to work with their communitys finest. In only three seasons of producing plays and musicals, Harbor Lights has presented over 70 Broadway professionals, including TONY, Grammy, Oscar, Emmy, Drama Desk, and Obie Award winning and nominated artists on its stages.
