Pretty simply, thats our who & why.And heres how it began in the form of Harvest Bible ChapelIn 1988, a small group of people began meeting in the northwest suburbs of Chicago to share their vision for a church committed to presenting Gods truth in a contemporary, yet uncompromising way. After five months of prayer, they called James MacDonald as the founding pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel and identified the four pillars this church would be built upon:Proclaiming the authority of Gods Word without apology2 Timothy 4:2Lifting high the name of Jesus through worshipJohn 4:24Believing firmly in the power of prayerEphesians 6:18Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldnessEphesians 6:19-20In 1997, after nearly 10 years of significant ministry growth, God led the elders of the church toward a plan to begin a multiplying ministry through the planting of new churches. Today, through that ministry known as Harvest Bible Fellowship, there are nearly 20.000 people attending the over 30 Harvest Bible Chapels around the United States, Canada, and overseas.And Orlando? Our story began in 2007 when a number of believers gathered, much like that original group of 18 people, to pray and discuss the possibility of planting a Harvest Bible Chapel in Orlando. In January 2008, a core group started gathering regularly, giving birth to Harvest Bible Chapel Orlando.We are grateful for the opportunity to share that vision with youand we pray that you may become a part of that who & why too!
