• Great Northern has historically provided strategic consulting, managed services, staffing, and product/solutions around the Datacenter Infrastructure. Beginning in April 2013, under new leadership, our model has expanded, driven by Silicon Valley relationships, new products, and an expanded technical team. Our new service direction includes a Network and Security practice with initial focuses on WAN, Firewall, Malware/Zero Day attack defense, and Mobile Security.Changes in Oracles product marketing positions us to assist clients in managing their relationships with the siloed sales organization of this important vendor. We can help clients save substantial dollars by managing their licensing along with assisting clients in understanding the huge performance and hardware/software cost savings of running Oracle on Oracle -- a story that needs to be heard by managers with multiple silo responsibilities. We are looking to current clients, and the marketplace, for further input in our direction as we expand our competencies. We will be an early player in Big Data and Open Stack Architecture initiatives, and will focus on other emerging technologies as our clients' needs drive us forward.Great Northern has always been valued by our clients as a trusted advisor, fully supporting them by assessing a challenge, defining an objective and initiating a solution project plan.
