• Our Firm: HAGIN Investment Management was founded by a team of investment professionals in 2006, lead by Robert Morris, CFA and former Chief Investment Officer of Lord, Abbett & Co. Originally formed as a family office, HAGIN Investment Management soon grew into a research-centric investment boutique. The firm is named after Robert Hagin, Ph.D., one of Wall Streets preeminent quants. Dr. Hagins research into quantitative investing began nearly a half-century ago as an IBM fellow at UCLA during the late 1960s, where he worked closely with famed value investor, Benjamin Graham. Our Investment Process: Over decades of research we have created a process that protects our clients from investment decisions based on emotion, yet is flexible enough to adapt to an ever-changing market landscape. Since we cannot have absolute certainty about the future, we maintain a dynamic approach to quantitative investing.We employ our in-house, propriety quantitative models to capture an emotionless overarching view of the market and begin by looking at each stock from two dimensions, not one. For example, many managers will judge a stock based on one element, such as its valuation. Our evaluation of a stock is based on combinations of factors. We believe that this multi-faceted approach gives us a better understanding of the income statement, cash flow, balance sheet, and relative valuation than a linear, single factor approach.
