- Founded in 1991, Black Oak is an integrated property, development/redevelopment and investment management company operating in the mid-Atlantic region with approximately 2 million square feet currently owned and managed. Black Oak has acquired existing properties and assets at different stages of development that have required site planning, zoning changes, permitting, access improvements and building construction. The Companys management team is experienced in real estate acquisition, redevelopment, financing and property management with an average of over 26 years in the real estate and financial industries. The Company operates from its offices in Owings Mills, Maryland.Black Oak Associates operates on a sustainable platform by creating low-impact shopping centers. The BOAIII Fund provides the capital for current Black Oak acquisitions, while Black Oak works with third party leasing agents and acts as the project manager on properties the company owns. Black Oak redevelops properties and strengthens centers over time by working to meet consumer needs. In order to implement our sustainability plan, efforts to reduce energy consumption are installed in existing centers and are fundamental to the design of future centers.
