- The Jefferson County Consolidated Communicates Center Authority - known as Jeffcom - is the new, centralized emergency dispatch call center for Jefferson County. Located in Lakewood, Jeffcom will be the consolidation of the eight (8) call centers that previously handled 911 calls and dispatched emergency responders. This consolidation of staff allows for state of the art technology and improved communications for all of Jefferson County and its residents. We are currently working on the build out of the new space to house all of our Emergency Communications Specialists, finalizing hardware and software decisions, and building our infrastructure. Recruiting and staffing has already begun, and we expect to be fully staffed and live in early 2018. Our mission: Jeffcom is the vital link between emergency services and the community. Our vision: To be a leading example of a consolidated communications center by providing excellence in service to our community, responders, and employees.
